CBIZ Talent Solutions is partnering with our manufacturing client in central Nassau County, NY, to identify a detail-oriented Mechanical Quality Inspector to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of housings, chassis, and final assemblies to verify conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Use gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring devices to validate dimensions and workmanship.
- Communicate inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions with production and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to clean room protocols and maintain a safe, organized work area.
- Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Experience with workmanship specifications and use of measuring devices.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills are a plus.
Preferred Certifications/Standards
- J-STD-001 and IPC-610 certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-38534 and MIL-STD-38535 preferred.
Compensation
- Salary range: $50,000–$60,000, based on experience.
