Pay Range: $38–$60/hour
Summary: The Mechanical Designer designs and develops HVAC and building utility mechanical systems for industrial projects. Supports projects from concept through construction documentation, working closely with multi-discipline teams in a BIM environment. Designers apply standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings to ensure client design standards and practices are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems including: air handling systems, ductwork and piping layouts and routing, chilled water and hot water systems, boilers and heating/cooling systems, dust collection and compressed air systems.
- Develop construction documents using Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing and selection and system layout and coordination.
- Coordinate with Architects, engineering and project managers.
- Industrial HVAC and building utility design experience is required.
- Proficient in standard drafting techniques.
- Proficiency in Revit is required.
- 5+ years design experience.
- Good written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
- Decision making skills and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- High School Diploma required.
