Mechanical Engineer 4

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and release of thermal and mechanical systems supporting battery module programs. You will work closely with battery module and battery system teams to mature designs from concept through production release while supporting new technology development.

This position requires strong ownership of designs, from initial concept through manufacturing and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, and release mechanical and thermal system components
• Develop and mature thermal system designs, including CAE analysis, through drawing release and production
• Perform analytical evaluations using thermal and mechanical simulation tools
• Investigate equipment or system issues and recommend corrective actions
• Support new technology development and continuous design improvement
• Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure compliance with specifications
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams on-site
• Provide technical guidance and documentation throughout the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering
• 8+ years of mechanical or thermal engineering experience
  • Master’s degree considered with 6+ years of experience
• Strong experience with battery module or battery pack thermal design
• Experience with thermal system integration
• Proficiency with analytical and simulation tools such as FlowEFD, Ansys, or Star-CCM+
• Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Experience with CAD and engineering software tools
