The Design Engineer is responsible for supporting safe, ergonomic, and efficient design solutions for industrial gas applications. This role involves creating technical drawings, bills of materials, and design packages, while integrating safety and continuous improvement into all projects. The engineer will collaborate with the design team to support mechanical and electrical processes, participate in hazard analysis reviews, and contribute to the development of engineering standards and tools. Key Responsibilities Support the Client Safety Culture by integrating safe design concepts into all projects. Develop and maintain knowledge of CAD technologies and practices. Maintain technical drawing and bill of material libraries. Design panels and systems that are safe, ergonomic, and easy to maintain. Assist in the design, specification, installation, and integration of chemical and gas manufacturing systems. Produce technical drawings and bills of materials under the direction of the engineering design team. Participate in design reviews, Process Hazard Analysis, and EMOC meetings. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the design group (standards, tools, processes). Required Critical Behaviors Te am player with strong collaboration skills. Knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation tools. Ability to perform basic engineering calculations. Familiarity with international codes and directives. Strong organizational and communication skills. Technical writing and reporting skills. Required Qualifications & Experience Bache lor’s or technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of project engineering or design experience, preferably in industrial gas applications or machinery. SolidWorks experience (CSWP certification preferre d).
