Mechanic

This position is responsible for the Fleet Operations and Maintenance and reports to the Branch Manager.
Shift: Mon-Fri 4PM - 12AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair of all fleet vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance (lube, oil change, replace belts, hoses, inspect brakes, repack bearings, check tires, on all size vehicles. Must perform per month.
- Diagnose and effectively repair mechanical, engine and electrical irregularities/malfunctions on all size vehicles.
- Drive automatic and standard shift vehicles for testing, transfer, and pick-up/delivery of parts.
- Perform inventory and order parts, supplies, as needed.
Primary Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience (Preferably Dealership. Foreign/Domestic vehicle experience a plus)
- Possession of valid driver's license (C or better) and ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles from 2,000 to 50,000 lbs. in size.
- Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
- Must meet DOT standards to achieve brake and annual inspection certifications. A minimum of 1 year experience or a certificate from an approved training program.
Individual Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges (in English).
- Ability to write work orders, purchase orders.
- Ability to communicate verbally (in English) using telephone for ordering parts and supplies.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a semi-enclosed structure and outdoors.
- Environment involves chemical handling, gasoline/diesel fumes and intermittent high noise exposure.
- Exposed to wet and dry conditions in extreme heat and/or cold.
- Full-time schedule consists of an average of 40 hours per week for a 5-day period.

Armored Service Technicians work as a team on a designated route. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of cash and coin to Loomis customers, as well as the loading and balancing of ATM machines along your route. This position requires that you pass a Department of Transportation screening and be issued a DOT Medical Certification.
The Armored Service Technician job duties require the following physical abilities:
- Carry a minimum of 50 pounds by hand up to several hundred yards by cart
- Loading/unloading cargo consisting of multiple bags and boxes of coin
- Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
- Verbally communicate with customers
- Record information on forms and reports
