Position Summary
The Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator & Teacher plays a critical role in advancing SSP's mathematics programs to meet academic standards and the diverse needs of students. This position is responsible for evaluating and refining curriculum, teaching mathematics courses and intensives, analyzing student performance data, and supporting educators through collaboration and professional development. The role blends curriculum leadership with direct instructional responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and enhance mathematics curricula to align with state and national standards
Develop and implement instructional strategies for both remedial and advanced learners
Teach mathematics modules, intensives, and specialized courses throughout the year
Analyze student performance data to inform instructional and curricular decisions
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and educational staff to develop academic resources
Provide professional development and training on curriculum and instructional best practices
Stay current with research and trends in mathematics education
Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and curriculum strategy discussions
Support program alignment with budgets and funding requirements

Required Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Mathematics Education, or a related field
Experience developing and implementing mathematics curricula in a school or district setting
Knowledge of state and national mathematics standards
Experience teaching both remedial and advanced secondary-level mathematics
Experience delivering professional development or training for educators
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and working with instructional materials
Ability to lift up to 15–20 pounds
Occasional evening or weekend work during intensives or curriculum implementation
Occasional travel between school sites
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $100,000–$130,000
Monday–Friday work schedule
