Materials Manager

In this role, you'll be a key player in optimizing our supply chain processes. Your primary responsibilities include managing supplier partnerships, overseeing material sourcing, and ensuring efficient inventory control to support strategic business objectives. You will collaborate with multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency and drive profitability. Key tasks involve guiding new product supply strategies, maintaining and improving supplier performance, and developing commodity strategies to fill gaps in our supplier base. You will plan and procure raw materials and finished goods, leveraging ERP systems to streamline and optimize purchasing activities. Regularly monitoring inventory metrics will be vital to maintaining a balanced approach to cost, availability, and working capital. You will also lead cross-department initiatives to align schedules with company goals and will be instrumental in coordinating product and project management teams to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities. Your leadership will be critical in managing staff by handling recruitment, performance evaluations, and development strategies. Budget management and financial analysis skills will further enhance your effectiveness in this position. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is mandatory, along with over a decade of experience in a manufacturing setting, including significant leadership responsibility. Your competency in managing electronic and mechanical commodity sourcing, coupled with robust ERP/MRP expertise, will be pivotal to this role's success.
