We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Material Planner to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement, supply chain, and inventory management processes, ensuring a seamless flow of materials to meet production needs. This role will require a deep understanding of material planning, forecasting, and logistics management, coupled with an ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage pricing strategies. The Consulting Material Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality standards of our food manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring the constant availability of required materials for production.
- Manage the company's supply chain, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing the delivery of materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Utilize CPM and 365 tools to manage material planning processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient inventory management.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors, ensuring the best value for the company.
- Implement and maintain SQF standards throughout all procurement and supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with various departments, including production and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Continually assess and improve processes, striving for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, procurement, or a related role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with procurement, supply chain, CPM, D365, suppliers, SQF, pricing, vendor management, material planning, inventory management, forecasting, and logistics management.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful vendor and pricing negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including SQF.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
