Summary:
SHIFT: Mo Tu We Th 06:00 AM - 04:30 PM [Lunch: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM]
- Ensure seamless flow of materials in the supply chain.
- Impact operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and plant performance.
- Manage incoming and outgoing freight, operate material handling equipment safely, and maintain organized staging areas.
- Report to the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight trucks using a forklift.
- Package material and products per customer specifications and move to designated location for shipment.
- Perform incoming material inspections per procedure.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection of finished goods.
- Complete shipping orders and apply packing slips and address tags to outgoing freight.
- Maintain neat and orderly freight staging areas.
- Operate a forklift safely, avoiding damage to freight and equipment.
- Check in returned goods, raw materials, and purchased products per company procedures.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
- Solve problems and develop innovative solutions while maintaining safety and security standards.
- Coordinate workflow with team members and third-party agents.
- Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems daily.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Complete shipping and quality assurance forms.
- Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
- Adhere to Quality Management System Requirements.
- Follow and maintain 5S activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of forklift experience.
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Position requires frequent standing and repetitive use of hands.
- Bending, climbing, reaching overhead, kneeling, and pushing/pulling are required occasionally.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to operate a computer to read and input data.
- Ability to operate hand tools and read measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret 3D prints/schematics to complete standard work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Ability to hold themselves accountable for results.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems.
Preferred Skills:
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
