Description:
• The role involves providing trauma-informed individual and group counseling to survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) and their children.
• This full-time position is based in the Bronx, NY, and requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• The therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure client safety and promote healing.
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.
• 1-2 years of experience in trauma-informed domestic violence services.
• Experience with adults who have caused harm in relationships.
• Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
• On track for licensure; LCSW preferred.
• Experience with child welfare involved families.
• Understanding of family systems, relational and attachment theories.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in maintaining detailed client records.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and service plans.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions.
