Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
  • Balance production capacity with demand to ensure optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to align production plans with business objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze forecast accuracy, and adjust schedules to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and material shortages to maintain production flow.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems for detailed scheduling, material requirements planning, and capacity planning.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule attainment and on-time delivery, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in master scheduling, production planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) for demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including demand forecasting, capacity planning, and data analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, production constraints, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with production, sales, procurement, and logistics teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software (e.g., Kinaxis, O9, SAP APO).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting complex scheduling insights.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to supply chain optimization projects.
  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting models and their application in demand planning.
