Master Planner-SAP IBP Specialist

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Master Planner-SAPIBP Specialist to join our Prepared Foods team in Greeley, CO! The Master Planner-SAP IBP will lead the transition from traditional planning to an integrated, system-driven environment. This role is responsible for converting S&OP monthly plans into optimized weekly schedules using SAP IBP. You will act as the technical and functional liaison between Corporate Planning, Sales, and Operations, leveraging optimization tools to balance material requirements, plant capacity, and distribution costs.

Responsibilities:

  • System Implementation & Optimization: Lead the adoption of SAP IBP and Otimix to automate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
  • Constraint-Based Modeling: Utilize SAP IBP / Otimix optimization engines to resolve manufacturing plans, accounting for complex constraints such as shelf-life (perishables), plant capacity, and transportation costs.
  • Integrated Business Planning: Provide high-level technical input to the S&OP process, ensuring the "unconstrained" demand plan is translated into a feasible, "constrained" execution plan within the system.
  • Data Governance: Maintain and audit master data relevant to IBP activities, including planning calendars, lead times, and resource attributes to ensure optimization accuracy.
  • Inventory Optimization: Use system-generated recommendations to establish and adjust safety stock targets across the distribution network.
  • Variance Analysis: Architect and report on KPIs via SAP IBP dashboards, specifically focusing on forecast accuracy, plan adherence, and demand variability.
  • Strategic Liaison: Align action plans between Sales, Operations, and Customer Service by reporting system-identified deviations and capacity bottlenecks.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of planning experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert level knowledge of SAP IBP implementation (specifically Supply, Response and S&OP modules), strongly preferred.
  • Experience in perishable food manufacturing or CPG, with an understanding of short-shelf-life planning cycles, strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Linear Programming or Optimization solvers.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or ECC integration with IBP.
  • Certifications: APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or SAP IBP Certification is a significant plus.
  • Proven ability to manage "change management" hurdles when transitioning teams from spreadsheets to automated system-led planning.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $80,000-$100,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
