Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Join our team at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, a vibrant community with a rich history and a dynamic work environment. We are seeking dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our stationary systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts to oversee various aspects of system operation.
  • Adjust controls as needed to ensure safe and efficient system operation and meet service demands.
  • Record system parameters on log sheets and ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Maintain machinery and equipment within the system in good working order.
  • Potentially supervise and coordinate activities of other workers involved in tasks directly related to system operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain a Daily Operations Log and perform routine maintenance according to applicable O&M Manuals for the boilers used at Edgewood and APG.
  • Perform other on-site duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in centrifugal chiller operations and central utility plant operations.
  • Experience standing watch in the Chill Water Plant is required.
  • HVAC technician experience is preferred.
  • May involve rotating shifts.

License & Certifications:

  • OSHA 10 training is advantageous.
  • A valid Maryland Class 1 stationary engineer's license is required.
