Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Marine Electricians to perform skilled electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work aboard diesel-electric offshore supply vessels. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, power generation, propulsion, and vessel automation, with a focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine electrical and electronic systems aboard diesel-electric OSVs
Maintain power generation and distribution systems, including switchboards, transformers, drives, and propulsion controls
Diagnose and repair faults in motors, generators, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation systems
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of electrical equipment
Interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and ship drawings
Ensure compliance with ABS, USCG, SOLAS, and company safety standards
Support vessel operations during offshore assignments, shipyard periods, and mobilizations
Accurately document work performed, maintenance records, and equipment status
Collaborate with engineers, bridge officers, and shore-side technical teams
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Marine Electrician or Electrical Technician in offshore or marine environments
Hands-on experience with diesel-electric propulsion systems
Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, motor controls, PLCs, and marine automation
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity with marine safety regulations and classification society requirements
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a vessel crew
Preferred Qualifications
STCW certification and valid seafarer credentials
Previous experience on Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs)
Experience with DP systems, power management systems (PMS), and VFD propulsion
Electrical license or technical certification (marine or industrial)
