Marine Biologist

Careerscape is recruiting for a Key West marine research organization that needs a Marine Biologist to study coral reefs, marine life, and ocean health. You'll conduct research, collect data, and contribute to conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field research on marine ecosystems
• Collect and analyze water and biological samples
• Monitor coral reef health and marine populations
• Perform underwater surveys using scuba diving
• Record detailed observations and data
• Write research reports and scientific papers
• Present findings at conferences and meetings
• Collaborate with other scientists and agencies
• Support education and outreach programs

Requirements

• Master degree in Marine Biology or related field
• 2-4 years of marine research experience
• SCUBA certification with scientific diving experience
• Strong knowledge of marine ecosystems and species
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Proficiency with scientific equipment and software
• Strong scientific writing abilities
• Physical fitness for fieldwork and diving
• Passion for marine conservation
