Job Description
Edgestone Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Representative / Customer Service Representative to join our team in the New Bedford Industrial Park. This role combines inside sales, customer service, order management, and marketing support responsibilities within a fast-paced industrial environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell to and service existing accounts via phone and email
- Source and follow up on new sales leads (direct and indirect)
- Recommend and execute pricing strategies
- Develop and process customer quotes in cooperation with the Logistics Manager
- Review sales contracts and accurately enter order information
- Create production orders from sales forecasts
- Plan raw material requirements to support customer forecasts
- Facilitate communication of technical requirements to the Operations team
- Initiate and evaluate new product development opportunities
- Enter and manage quality claims; communicate claim status and resolution to customers
- Conduct ongoing customer needs analysis and provide after-sales support
- Transfer orders to production and communicate delivery timelines and inventory levels
- Perform routine follow-up sales calls
- Successfully complete all company-required and job-specific training
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years of customer service and/or inside sales experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for compelling, professional correspondence
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend solutions
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously
Technical Knowledge & Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with SEO tools
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads
- Knowledge of Facebook Advertising
- Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or SQL (a plus, not required)
- Demonstrated interest in digital marketing trends, including performance marketing and e-commerce strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
