Responsibilities
- Program robotic systems including material handling, welding, and Cobot units to ensure efficient operation.
- Develop and implement optimal weld processes for automated systems, making programming updates as needed.
- Monitor all processes for efficiency, suggest improvements, and develop procedures for consistent output.
- Assist production with preventive maintenance and repairs of robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues; develop short- and long-term solutions.
- Remove waste and non-value-added time from weld processes to improve productivity.
- Create system operation guides and train operators on best methods for operation and quick touch-ups.
- Own automation OEE reporting to track performance metrics.
- Develop standard work instructions and job aids to support process consistency.
- Define best-in-class processes and identify equipment needs to meet company objectives, including weld automation and fixturing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in robotic welding system programming.
- Familiarity with Fanuc Roboguide programming software.
- Basic MIG welding skills or understanding of related principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on robotic systems.
- Experience with Fanuc and Yaskawa robotics preferred.
- Related experience in measuring and improving OEE performance.
- BS degree or AS/ASS with equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of programming robotic welding systems.
- Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to 10 hours per day.
