Belcan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong foundation in engineering principles, keen on advancing manufacturing, machining, brazing, and tooling through design and drafting, particularly CAD modeling.
Ideal Candidates:
* Possess an engineering degree complemented by skills in Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Special Process Heat Treat for manufacturing in an aerospace environment.
* Experienced in CAD modeling for manufacturing applications, machining processes, and tooling design, enhancing both efficiency and product quality.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
* Generate and refine process work instructions tailored for manufacturing needs, emphasizing tooling support and design for manufacturability.
* Collaborate closely with shop floor personnel to capture and document current manufacturing and tooling processes.
* Utilize CAD software, preferably NX, to update and develop detailed operation sheets that incorporate best practices in tooling design and manufacturing engineering.
* Engage in regular communication with the Lead Engineer regarding daily assignments and actively participate in daily meetings as required.
Core Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent & relevant work experience.
* 1-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with heat treat process experience.
* Proficient in 3D modeling software, ideally NX, with a focus on tooling and manufacturing design.
* Experience with Solumina highly desirable.
* Must be legally authorized to work in the US: US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
Desired Skills (Not Mandatory):
* Familiarity with SAP, Team Center, Solumina, and DIOS is beneficial but not required.
