Job Title: Manufacturing Planning Manager
Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation: $54 - $92/hr + (depending on experience)

Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Planning Manager to lead planning and scheduling activities across Data Center projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules that provide accurate visibility into progress, critical paths, and forecasted completion dates.
The Manufacturing Planning Manager plays a key role in proactive decision-making by identifying potential delays early and coordinating mitigation and recovery plans with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Construction teams.
Key Objectives
  • Develop and maintain logic-driven, execution-aligned project schedules
  • Provide accurate schedule forecasting and performance visibility
  • Ensure integrity and consistency of schedule data across disciplines
  • Identify schedule risks early and drive timely mitigation actions
  • Continuously improve planning tools, reporting, and scheduling practices
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Lead schedule development in Primavera P6, aligned with WBS and execution strategy
  • Perform critical path, float, and what-if analyses to identify risks and recovery opportunities
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly schedule updates with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Validate reported progress against actual performance and key milestones
  • Prepare schedule performance reports including variances, forecasts, and mitigation plans
  • Evaluate schedule impacts of scope changes and support change management processes
  • Mentor and guide planners and schedulers to ensure consistency and high-quality schedule data
Required Experience
  • 10–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within large-scale construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and scheduling best practices
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated EPC or GC-level schedules
  • Strong understanding of construction/manufacturing sequencing, progress measurement, and earned value principles
  • Data Center project experience highly preferred
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Preferred:
  • PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or similar certification
  • Experience with schedule analytics tools and Power BI dashboards
Work Environment
  • Primarily Houston-based with approximately 25% travel
  • Regular coordination with field teams, contractors, and manufacturing operations
  • Periodic site visits to validate sequencing, progress, and milestone alignment
  • Collaboration with project leadership, engineering, and supply chain teams
