Hours: 2nd shift (4pm-2:30am, Mon-Thurs)
Responsibilities
- Efficiently, effectively, and safely clean, set-up, and operate machinery in the manufacturing area following applicable cGMPs, SOPs, FDA, and DEA guidelines.
- Follow Master Batch Records for the manufacturing of controlled, oral solid dose (OSD) and other dosage forms when required.
- Prepare raw materials, blends, and maintain bulk accountability throughout manufacturing processes.
- Perform weight checks for incoming and dispensed materials, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Operate scales including set-up, verification, leveling, and challenging.
- Identify, report, and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Set up, operate, and clean manufacturing equipment (rotor sieves, granulators, blenders, coaters, encapsulators, compression machines, etc.) in compliance with batch records and SOPs.
- Perform in-process testing and inspections such as weighing, tablet thickness, hardness, friability, and visual inspection.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing rooms, walls, floors, and ceilings per SOPs.
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions, or unusual circumstances to supervisor.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, following GMP documentation practices.
- Support GMP investigations and contribute to SOP writing in the technical area.
- Participate actively in production team and site communication meetings.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance; work overtime as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Up to three years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education, mechanical skills, and industry experience.
- Basic to complex mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Understanding of the Metric System of Measurement.
- Preferred experience in oral solid dose (OSD) manufacturing including granulation, blending, and bead coating operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling drums up to 275 pounds, and working in a production environment requiring PPE.
- Ability to work the scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
