Summary:

- Shift: 2nd Shift - Tool Crib Attendant
Responsibilities:
- Provide general warehouse support, including operating equipment, replenishing and distributing inventory, picking, packing, and shipping of inbound and outbound shipments, and handling material.
- Prepare bills of lading for freight carriers, assist in loading trucks, and obtain signatures on shipments.
- Count and record material to ensure accuracy of shipment and receipt; perform related duties as required.
- Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, and tools; compile records in stock and tool crib.
- Process and deliver receiver paperwork to Purchasing daily.
- Count and sort incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices; examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Store items in bins, shelves, trays, or on the floor according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
- Fill orders or issue supplies; prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock and tools.
- Requisition articles to fill inventories of items.
- Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on tools and articles.
- Compile reports on the use of stock, tools, adjustment of inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location.
- Organize tools, including identification and storage location, and verify all tool components.
- Maintain records of tools and uniforms issued to and returned by workers.
- Compile and maintain all necessary paperwork and files in the stock room and tool crib.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Physical activity required, including bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing. May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime, including occasional weekend shifts.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating power tool equipment, including but not limited to cherry picker, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.
- Working knowledge of scanning equipment, internal database tracking system, dollies, and carts.
- Proficiency with MS Office Programs.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
- Ability to follow written instructions and take verbal instructions for multiple assembly tasks in a manufacturing shop environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other staff members.
- Able to work with computerized shop floor tools.
- Excellent organizational skills.
