Summary:
This role executes routine unit operations in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of drug products within a multi-product, GMP-regulated facility. The successful candidate will perform duties under limited supervision, assisting senior associates with equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting while adhering to all standard operating procedures and documenting activities according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup of automated and semi-automated assembly machines, including gathering tools, machine parts, and documents
- Retrieve components and equipment from storage
- Assist with equipment changeovers and minor equipment repairs/adjustments
- Assist with real-time identification and correction of problems, including mechanical and component issues
- Perform all work in accordance with company policies and procedures, documenting all activities in controlled documents (batch records, logbooks)
- Assist with room cleaning and sanitization in production areas, including waste disposal
- Follow controlled documents to ensure correct equipment is used and calibrated
- Perform assembly and packaging operations and assist in visual inspection/filling operations if required
- Ensure components, materials, and supplies are stocked prior to the start of operations
- Move and transfer product, components, and equipment within the CNC area
- Maintain production areas according to predefined standards (5s)
- Adhere to safety standards and escalate any unsafe situations
- High School degree plus a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a GMP regulated industry OR an Associate/Bachelor degree from an accredited institution or biotechnology vocational training
- Basic reading, writing, and understanding of English
- Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Basic math calculation skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to perform documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and email
