Wood Personnel is recruiting for Manufacturing Machine Operators AND CNC Operators for our client in Lavergne, TN.
 Manufacturing Machine Operator / CNC Operator Compensation and Shift: 
  • $ 19-$25 an hour DOE , PLUS UP  to a $3 per shift differential
  • 1st Shift:  Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3pm
  • 2nd Shift:  Monday - Friday, 3 pm – 11 pm: Training will be on first shift
  • 3rd Shift:  Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7am: Training will be on first shift
  • Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

 Manufacturing Machine Operator / CNC Operator Duties and Job Responsibilities:
  • CNC Programming preferred 
  • CNC set up experience required 
  • Grinding / Turning / Milling – 2 years strongly preferred, but not required
  • Orient inserts properly prior to grinding
  • Load and unload inserts from multiple machines efficiently and safely
  • Measure and gauge inserts to ensure they meet specified dimensions
  • Visually inspect inserts under scope to verify surface and edge quality
  • Pull inspection samples as required and record results accurately on route cards
  • Place finished inserts into appropriate racks pre and post grinding
  • Set up, operate top, and bottom grinding machines, including Stahli 605 and 702 models.
  • Operate multiple Stahli or Blanchard grinding machines to produce high-quality products in accordance    with blueprint specifications and production standards
  • Install, change, and dress grinding wheels as required
  • Determine required stock removal while maintaining tolerance specifications
  • Gauge inserts to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Visually inspect inserts using scopes to verify surface characteristics
  • Operate additional equipment as needed to support production
  • Set up machines and troubleshoot basic to moderately complex issues independently
 Manufacturing Machine Operator Skills and Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic with longevity in past roles 
  • Experience in manufacturing or related fields operating CNC machines  
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations 
  • Open availability and own transportation (no ride-shares allowed) 
  • Lift up to 33lbs 
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • PPE is required to be worn within the facility – including steel toes
  • Strict no cell phone policy is enforced
