We are partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer in the Woodstock, IL area to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for a newly created role supporting a critical business unit. This organization operates in a hands-on, engineering-driven environment and is known for producing high-performance materials and components used across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.

Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across operations by leveraging data, process knowledge, and hands-on collaboration with the plant. This role supports both day-to-day production and longer-term improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Job costing, contract review, and routing validation
- BOM creation and ERP setup/optimization
- Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, particularly through fixture and process improvements
- Supporting new product launches and process transfers into production
- Developing work instructions, routings, and manufacturing documentation
- Driving Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing hands-on production support and resolving manufacturing issues
- Partnering with quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure compliance and consistency
Ideal Background
- Manufacturing, Process, Industrial, or CI Engineering experience (3–5+ years preferred)
- Exposure to industrial environments such as foundry, heat treat, machining, grinding, or metal processing
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, analysis); ERP experience is a plus
- Comfortable being on the floor and working directly with operators and supervisors
- Lean manufacturing mindset; Six Sigma experience a plus
- CAD experience for fixture or tooling design is beneficial
- ISO 9001 experience preferred (AS certifications a plus)
Compensation & Details
- Salary: Up to $100K, with flexibility up to ~$120K for the perfect candidate
- Type: Direct hire
- Location: Woodstock, IL (on-site)
- Reports to: Engineering leadership
