My client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a knowledge of Swiss machining due to impressive growth at their facility based near Itasca, IL. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in the development of new manufacturing processes, including the setup & programming of Swiss machines for new parts.

Description
- Optimize manufacturing methods to improve quality, cycle time, and overall machining efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production and machining issues.
- Develop, edit, and enhance CNC programs, including G‑code for Swiss‑style turning centers.
- Assist with machine setup and support operators to ensure smooth department workflow.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and processes for new and existing products.
- Interpret complex blueprints and specifications to ensure product conformance.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams on design improvements.
- Reduce tooling costs and contribute to preventative maintenance efforts.
- Maintain adherence to all safety procedures and operational standards.
Profile
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including hands-on work with Swiss‑type lathes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and on‑machine G‑code editing.
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles.
- Experience problem‑solving machining issues in a production environment.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD/SolidWorks and familiarity with ERP systems.
Job Offer
- Base salary $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience level
- Quarterly bonus incentives based on company performance
