Candidates must have hands-on mechanical or manufacturing experience in aerospace (aircraft assembly, structures, systems installation, manufacturing engineering support, etc.).
Candidates do not need every tool or system listed below , but should have relevant aerospace manufacturing exposure.
Job Summary
Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support aircraft final assembly and prototype build operations . This role focuses on pulling engineering data from enterprise systems, converting that data into clear work instructions , and supporting technicians directly on the production floor during aircraft assembly and installation .
This is a hands-on, floor-facing role supporting low-volume, rapidly evolving prototype builds.
Basic Qualifications
0–10 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or similar (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on aerospace manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience
Experience supporting production or assembly operations
Ability to work directly with technicians on the manufacturing floor
Comfortable working onsite in an aircraft assembly environment
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with any of the following is a plus but not required :
Siemens NX
Teamcenter
SAP
Siemens Capital
TRAX or similar MRO / aircraft maintenance systems
Prototype builds or New Product Introduction (NPI)
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Data & Work InstructionsInterpret engineering data, drawings, and configurations
Convert engineering definitions into clear, executable work instructions
Develop and maintain assembly instructions, process flows, and build documentation
Upload and manage instructions within manufacturing execution systems
Floor Support & Assembly ExecutionProvide on-the-floor manufacturing engineering support during installation and final assembly
Answer technician questions by referencing engineering data
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical integration issues
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Final Assembly & IntegrationProvide technical support for:
Aircraft structural integration
Systems installation
Component alignment
Build sequencing
Support prototype aircraft builds in a low-rate, high-change environment .
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with design, test, quality, supply chain, and logistics teams
Support configuration control and documentation traceability
Continuous ImprovementImprove assembly efficiency while maintaining safety and quality
Assist with fixture development and process improvements
Support technicians and junior engineers when needed
- Assist the manufacturing team resolving manufacturing issues
- Support manufacturing and tooling projects
- Provide manufacturing leadership to contract manufacturing sites
- Resolving manufacturing and tooling problems
- Develop manufacturing processes and equipment

- Manage the manufacturing engineering team
- Improve manufacturing's efforts in all manufacturing operations
- Maintain manufacturing technical process documentation
- Support supervisors in training manufacturing personnel on manufacturing process
- Develop new production equipment to improve manufacturing processes
- Provide production support for manufacturing and assembly equipment
- Provide engineering support for existing manufacturing processes
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods
- Maintain and improve current manufacturing assembly process
- Implementing continuous improvement in manufacturing
- Utilize lean manufacturing methods to enhance manufacturing efficiencies and reduce costs
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to continually improve efficiencies at manufacturing facilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes by reviewing exisitng product and manufacturing processes
