Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite)
Primary Location: Poughkeepsie, New York

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer for our premier client in Poughkeepsie, New York.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications »
  • Technical School Certification or post-secondary schooling that included training in math, blueprint reading, metalworking, and CAD/CAM.

Education and Experience »
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with CNC machine operation strongly preferred or prior experience working with parts and equipment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with hands on experience on CNC Machining.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing process and equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Creates and maintains standard Bill of Materials and production Routings in ERP system database.
  • Develops manufacturing methods for new components and assemblies utilizing customer drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Collaborates with planning and design staff concerning customer requirements, manufacturing considerations, and tooling to ensure development of efficient production methods.
  • Works with management, engineering, and other staff regarding development/improvement of manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Follows all applicable ISO standards and safety protocols including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
