We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Manufacturing Controller. This role is a critical member of our manufacturing team, providing financial leadership and direction to our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the manufacturing process, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and inventory control. This position will also manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, and audit processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in management, demonstrating the ability to implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial aspects of the manufacturing process, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Administer payroll and manage all related tax obligations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address any potential financial risks or discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory control to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish financial strategies and objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a controller or similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and inventory control.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, taxes, and audit processes.
- Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
