This is a high-capacity, strategic role designed for an individual with deep knowledge of manufacturing operations. Rather than a traditional administrative position, this role serves as a key partner to the President in driving daily operational excellence, project execution, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will be a manufacturing-savvy leader who can analyze complex problems, influence results, and help the leadership team execute key business objectives through technical insight and high-level organizational support.
Job Duties:
- Act as a principal support partner to the President, managing schedules, priorities, and operational follow-through.
- Prepare orders for production and manage the processing of Purchase Orders (POs).
- Provide specialized support to sales as the primary customer point of contact post-PO.
- Serve as a liaison between the executive office and operational departments to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability.
- Leverage hands-on manufacturing experience to inform decisions and solve operational challenges.
- Partner with leaders in Production, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to drive the execution of operational initiatives.
- Monitor key operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Draft and edit internal communications, operational announcements, and executive updates.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations role with progressive responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and operational metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple high-impact priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and high-priority tasks with discretion.
- Experience in precision manufacturing environments (e.g., CNC machining, high-mix/low-volume) is preferred.
- Prior experience supporting senior leadership or executive management is a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including project management experience.
