Transmission Construction and Maintenance is searching for the next Manager of our Line Operations team! The Line Operations team is responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance across LCRA TSC's transmission lines and corresponding right of ways, and serves as a first response option for emergencies and/or unplanned outages. While leading this department, you will be responsible for three line maintenance teams, two right of way maintenance teams, and a construction coordinator team. How You’ll Contribute:- Lead and direct staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating and managing performance, determining compensation of subordinate staff in compliance with human resources policies and handles all aspects of staff supervision.
- Provide safety leadership, ensuring safety procedures and policies are adhered to and conduct monthly departmental safety meetings. Take responsibility to ensure employees are working safely and employees receive required safety training.
- Develop and oversee department budget for supervising department, ensuring expenditures are appropriate and within approved budget.
- Develop strategic and operating plans, goals, objectives, priorities and procedures that are in alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of the LCRA.
- Identify training needs, develop performance goals, and provide employee development opportunities to ensure professional and career growth among the department.
- Twelve or more years of experience in transmission construction, transmission maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, transmission line operations, substation operations, or other relevant experience, including experience with landowner negotiation and at least three years of leadership responsibility.
- A degree(s) in engineering, business, construction management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
