About the Role
We're hiring a General Manager to run day-to-day operations of a high-volume bicycle rental business on Martha's Vineyard. This is a leadership role for someone organized, tech-comfortable, and customer-focused who can manage people, logistics, and systems during a fast New England summer season, May-September.
This is not a traditional retail job. We operate like a small logistics company: online bookings, deliveries across the island, inventory flow, Google reviews, and real-time problem solving. You'll be the person who keeps everything moving smoothly while building a team and improving how the business runs.
What You'll Handle:
Daily operations of the shop, rentals, and deliveries
Staff scheduling, training, and leadership
Online reservations (Shopify / FareHarbor)
Inventory organization and fleet readiness
Customer communication and issue resolution
Google Business & review management
Creating systems that make busy days easier
Working with ownership to grow revenue

Is highly organized and calm under pressure
Comfortable with computers, spreadsheets, and modern tools
Willing to use AI for SOPs, and workflows
Can lead seasonal staff with confidence
Thinks like an owner, not just a manager
Can relocate to Martha's Vineyard
