Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Logistics (Inventory Control and Quality Manager (ICQA)).
In this role, the successful candidate main priority is oversight of inventory supplies for Perioperative Services, Electrophysiology Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Radiology.
Please Note: This is a new leadership role. Reporting structures and specific system duties may evolve as the department matures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Staffing:Responsible for managing 9 FTEs across multiple NYULH locations to ensure inventory accuracy and financial compliance.
- Cycle Count Management:Schedule and oversee daily cycle counts; ensure compliance with annual count requirements.
- FIFO & Expiration Control:Monitor expiration reports and enforce FIFO procedures across the team to minimize waste.
- Returns & Scrap Administration:Approve scrap processing documentation and oversee the financial reconciliation of returns.
- Recall Management:Lead the recall response process, ensuring all affected inventory is isolated and accounted for in the system.
- Par Level Optimization:Analyze usage data to recommend par level adjustments to the Analytics team.
- Project Management:Lead departmental projects to drive continuous improvement in inventory management.
- Travel:Must be able to travel across multiple NYULH locations in the NYC region.
Systems, Data & Reporting:
- Variance Reconciliation:Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies using PeopleSoft and QIAM (RFID) data.
- Data Management:Manage data outputs from QIAM (RFID) and PeopleSoft; ensure system integrity.
- Reporting:Generate high-level reports using Microsoft Suite for Senior Leadership regarding inventory health and financial accuracy for the full network.
- Staff Management:Manage team schedules, time-off requests, and daily task assignments.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) required.
3-5 years of relevant inventory/retail management experience.
Experience with project management and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel VLOOKUPs/Pivots, PowerPoint, Access).
Experience with PeopleSoft, QIAM (RFID), or similar ERP/WMS/IMS systems.
Strong analytical skills to interpret large and complex inventory data.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education or Healthcare related field or a combination of similar education and experience. Knowledge of Materials Management general operations. Strong skills related to the management of inventory control with a minimum three years of responsible of progressive work experiences in supply distribution. Knowledge of specific health care products. Current membership and active participation in a relevant professional organizations. Must possess computer knowledge. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of formal supervision principles, leadership education and/or the Certification in Healthcare Leadership concepts. Certification in materials resources CMRP or IAHCSMMs materials management certification. Knowledge of inventory control software such as Pathways Materials Management.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $105,722.27 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
