We are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead the development and innovation of electrical and electronic consumer products. In this role, you will manage a team of experienced professionals, guiding them through multiple projects to ensure timely completion in line with specifications and cost expectations. You will also engage directly in design and development processes, driving the implementation of cutting-edge technologies into our product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team in creating and integrating electrical/electronic product designs aligned with company strategies.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure projects are executed effectively from inception to launch.
- Drive innovation by incorporating emerging technologies and best practices in electronic product development.
- Assess project designs for compliance and quality, offering feedback to enhance outcomes.
- Strategically allocate resources to support new project initiatives and organizational growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, improve processes, and contribute as a subject matter expert.
- Evaluate and propose engineering modifications for optimal productivity.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee outsourced development efforts.
- Execute additional tasks as required.
Leadership Duties:
- Manage departmental budgets and recommend adjustments for financial efficiency.
- Formulate and update policies to meet evolving business demands.
- Handle HR functions, including recruitment, promotions, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution, in partnership with HR.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with substantial expertise in leading complex design projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced expertise in electronics design, testing, and evaluation.
- Proven leadership acumen in guiding and developing a high-performance team.
- Deep understanding of design engineering principles and project management techniques.
- Effective communicator, skilled in engaging diverse teams and articulating complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with pressure sealing, plastic design, metalworking, and mechanical systems.
- Strong business insights, comprehension of product cost impacts, and financial stewardship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized design tools.
