The The League for People with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to gain independence, increase self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life.

Camp Greentop is The League's accessible outdoor residential camp serving youth and adults with disabilities through summer camp, respite weekends, medical day camp, and year-round programming.


Position Summary

Summary: The Manager of Camp Operations plays a key leadership role in the daily execution of camp
operations and administrative functions. Under the direction of the Associate Director, this position is
responsible for overseeing operational and administrative systems, supporting parent communication and
enrollment processes, and ensuring daily schedules and logistics are executed smoothly across all camp
programs. This role serves as the operational backbone of camp, ensuring systems, people, and processes
are aligned to deliver safe, organized, and high-quality programming for participants, families, and staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute the daily administrative and operational functions of all camp programs, ensuring
consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Develop, manage, and distribute daily camp schedules, calendars, and logistical plans for staff
and participants, including staffing coverage, transportation details, program flow, and
check-in/check-out processes.
Manage parent and caregiver communication related to enrollment, registration requirements,
schedules, documentation, and general program logistics.
Complete billing through CampDocs and in coordination with the Finance Department in a timely
manner; track participants utilizing the Autism Waiver, DDA or Self Directed Services and ensure
accurate and complete participant documentation.
Prepare, print, organize, and distribute counselor folders containing camper profiles, schedules,
behavior plans, medical alerts, and other required documentation prior to each session.
Take a lead role in collecting and maintaining documentation required by credentialing and
funding agencies, ensuring staff and camper files remain current.
Ensure payroll for seasonal staff is processed accurately and on time in coordination with the
Finance Department.
Provide direct supervision and leadership to camp counselors and seasonal camp leadership staff.
Assist the Associate Director of Camping and Recreation with recruitment logistics, interview
coordination, onboarding, and seasonal staffing needs.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the Camp Leadership Team and the Emergency Action Team (EAT)
Live on-site during camp seasons and programs, work a flexible schedule including evenings and
weekends, and engage fully in the camp community.
Operationalize the mission of The League for People with Disabilities by creating a supportive
environment for participants and staff

Qualification requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special
Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with physical tasks related to camp operations
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or crisis situations
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years camp or recreation experience desired
2+ years of administrative experience
2+ years of leading staff
Experience with people with disabilities
