Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Managed Services Provider. We are seeking an experienced Managed Services Enterprise Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering expert-level support and strategic guidance across virtualization environments. This role requires a deep understanding of, and proven hands-on experience with VMWare, Nutanix, PowerFlex, or similar technologies for hyperconverged infrastructure. Candiate should be able to serve as a trusted advisor, with the ability to simplify complex issues and speak to C-Suite executives. Excellent customer service skills are a must.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives around processes, training, delivery quality, and customer service to support a growing managed services business.

Key Responsibilities:

· Architect, design, and implement virtualization solutions using VMware vSphere, Horizon View, Nutanix, PowerFlex, OR HPUX technologies.

· Lead upgrade and maintenance strategies across all customer platforms.

· Provide advanced technical services during pre-sales and post-sales cycles.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align virtualization strategies with business goals.

· Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, deployment, and operational procedures.

· Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the Managed Services team.

· Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.

· Support hybrid cloud deployments leveraging Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platforms.

· Engage in client-facing activities including workshops, assessments, and strategic planning.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere, Horizon, VxRail, Nutanix, Dell PowerFlex, and related virtualization platforms.
• Experience supporting and maintaining virtualized infrastructures in production, including patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Skilled in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution within ITSM/managed services frameworks.
• Proficient in performance tuning, capacity management, system monitoring, and disaster recovery validation.
• Ability to support hybrid and multi-cloud integrations (Azure, AWS, GCP) alongside on-prem virtualization environments.
• Competent in documenting runbooks, operational procedures, and environment standards for consistent service delivery.
• Effective at mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical knowledge transfer within the team.
• Experienced in collaborating with client IT staff to provide reporting, recommendations, and escalation support.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and provide advanced technical support in a 24x7 environment.

Preferred Experience:

• 10+ years supporting virtualization technologies in complex or enterprise environments (e.g., VMware vSphere, Horizon, VxRail, Nutanix, Citrix, Dell PowerFlex).
• Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or other customer-facing support/consulting role.
• Expertise in maintaining and optimizing virtualized infrastructures, including upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Skilled in performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, and disaster recovery validation.
• Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud deployments across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Strong documentation skills for operational procedures, runbooks, and environment standards.
• Familiarity with monitoring and automation platforms such as LogicMonitor; experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients for escalations, reporting, assessments, and technical recommendations.
