Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician or Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:
1. Performing routine and preventive maintenance on all production and operating equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, pump, motor, conveyor, and conveyance systems.
3. Utilizing your electrical skills to diagnose and repair faults in our complex machinery.
4. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
5. Collaborating with other team members and departments to optimize production processes.
6. Supervising and training junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and sharing your expertise.
7. Assisting with the implementation and management of maintenance schedules and procedures.
8. Responding promptly and effectively to any breakdowns or disruptions in the production process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in dairy, meat, or food equipment maintenance.
2. Proven skills in preventive maintenance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
3. Strong electrical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults in a variety of machinery.
4. Expertise in pneumatic, hydraulic, pump, motor, conveyor, and conveyance systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively respond to breakdowns or disruptions.
6. Strong leadership skills, with experience supervising and training junior staff.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
9. A relevant technical qualification would be highly advantageous.
