Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join on of our long-term client’s team at (1) of their properties in Westminster, CO (80031) . The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. CPO experience is required and certifications are highly preferred. This role is contracted and expected to last through July assisting with getting the building ready for a NSPIRE inspection but could go long-term for the right candidate (contract to hire).

This role will be working with (1) community with 255 units (229 market-rate units and 26 affordable workforce units), 5 stories and LEED certified Silver

Salary: $23-$26/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 430pm – must be available for apartment turns and emergency response/on-call upon conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Preventative building maintenance and unit turns.
  • Completes general maintenance and upkeep responsibilities including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, light carpentry, painting, and landscaping.
  • Responds to open work orders and resolves resident/tenant requests within 24 hours.
  • Prepare and turn vacated apartment units within a 24-hour period (5 days if not immediate). All vacated apartments must be painted, thoroughly cleaned, carpets shampooed, and repairs done in a timely and impeccable manner.
  • Assists in scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for buildings and building equipment.
  • Completes hands-on work of all building repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility with special attention to more involved operations or projects.
  • Walks property at regular intervals (daily) to ensure resident/tenant property rules are being followed and that the property is clean and orderly and in good maintenance condition.
  • Works on the last day and first day of each month until responsibilities completed; some overtime may be required. Evening and weekend on-call rotations as required.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Maintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in quality, presentable condition.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in residential maintenance.
  • Experience in unit turns, preventative maintenance and work orders.
  • Experience with NSPIRE/REAC inspections is highly preferred.
  • CPO experience is required – certifications are highly preferred.
  • Boilers experience is required – certifications are highly preferred.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and be self driven.
  • Integrity, honesty and a good work ethic.
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
  • Be able to pass a Background check before employment.
