Job Summary
A high-performance manufacturing facility in Rosharon is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced, precision-driven production environment. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance, reduce downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Job Description
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical diagrams
- Install and commission new production equipment
- Perform maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
- Inspect and evaluate equipment performance and functionality
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Adjust and repair mechanical components using hand and power tools
- Fabricate parts for repairs and equipment upgrades as needed
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment reliability
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports and documentation
Skills Required
- Associate degree (minimum 2 years) in Manufacturing Technology or a related technical field (e.g., electrical, automation, robotics, instrumentation), or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley RSLogix PLC programming
- Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and varying shifts as needed
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekend shifts based on business needs
- Overtime may be required (typically 8–16 hours per month, depending on demand)
- Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks in an industrial setting
- Preferred: Experience with Fanuc robotics control systems
- Preferred: Experience with RMCTools / Delta Controllers
- Preferred: Experience working in a high-volume or industrial manufacturing environment
- Shift: 1st(7:30 am - 4:00pm)/ 2nd(3:30pm - midnight) / 3rd (11:30pm - 8:00AM) + $2USD
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $27 - $36 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
- Shift Differential: 2nd + $2USD/ 3rd + $2USD
Additional Details
- Must be eligible for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) Level 4 clearance (Employee Possessor of Explosives), in accordance with ATF Form 5400.28
- Must pass background check, drug, and alcohol screening
- Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training certification required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work collaboratively across teams
