Now Hiring Maintenance Technicians!Qualified Staffing is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a chemical manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, supporting facility upkeep, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on machinery
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work orders
- Use maintenance systems or software to track repairs and service history
- Support facility maintenance, including interior and exterior upkeep
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects
- Source and research parts needed for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazards
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude required with electrical experience preferred
- Experience with welding (MIG) is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues
- Comfortable using computers and maintenance systems (ERP experience a plus)
- Ability to research parts and solutions independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
Work EnvironmentThis position is performed in a manufacturing setting that is not climate-controlled and may include exposure to heat, noise, and odors. Proper safety equipment may be required.
