Overview
Come join USU Eastern's Facilities Team as a Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Technician III). We are looking for someone skilled in a variety of skilled trades to join our team. Maintenance Technicians maintain and repair equipment, machinery, appliances, utilities, buildings, facilities, fixtures, and systems. This position will help with a variety of work orders based upon the operational needs of the campus.

Responsibilities
* Inspects and performs routine preventive maintenance on all campus buildings and equipment, including basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and electrical.
* Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain machinery and equipment.
* Performs mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.
* Organizes and oversees the day-to-day and emergency maintenance requests to make sure buildings and equipment are in working condition.
* Responds to work orders in a timely fashion.
* Communicates with supervisors and other team members about existing and potential issues.
* Maintains accurate records of maintenance dates, repair costs, and type of maintenance performed.
* Provides on-call support outside regular hours as part of a rotating duty roster.
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Four years of experience performing corrective and preventative building and equipment maintenance OR equivalent "handyman" skills/experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge and ability to use necessary tools appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Drywall experience
* Electical experience
* Painting experience
