Maintenance Technician I

The Dedicated Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all machinery in their designated area of the plant. This role will troubleshoot, assist in breakdowns, and make all proper repairs to machinery. This will include, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing/building.
Wage starting at $26.07/hour
Schedule: 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
Additional $2.00/hour for shift differential

Essential Job Functions:
• Complete daily inspections on equipment in area
• Make immediate repairs
• Locate parts
• Write work orders
• Submit POs
• Communicate with production operators and supervisors regarding issues with machinery
• Enter work order, inventory, and request information in MP2
• Perform pass downs with preceding and following shifts
• Perform preventative maintenance
• All other duties as assigned by Department Manager
Position Requirements
• Complete all LMS training as assigned

• All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries.

Qualifications:
• Understanding of computers and Microsoft Office
• Proficient in use of shop equipment and hand tools
• Ability to work from ladders or elevated work surfaces
