Maintenance Technician-2nd shift

Job Summary

This position provides technical support for equipment within the organization. The primary focus is on completing assigned tasks promptly to maintain established preventative maintenance schedules and effectively repairing unplanned equipment failures. Additional responsibilities include PC support, process control, machine assembly and fabrication, programming and wiring, procedural recommendations, record-keeping, equipment refurbishments, and advanced troubleshooting. The role is hands-on and requires a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete equipment refurbishment, assembly, and fabrication as required.
• Review existing service procedures for accuracy and recommend updates to maintain compliance with ISO maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and ancillary support systems, utilizing external service help as needed to minimize machine downtime.
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance activities, including timely completion and filing of service records.
• Recommend updates to Preventive Maintenance procedures and frequencies.
• Establish and maintain an on-hand spare parts inventory for equipment.
• Coach and provide feedback to manufacturing personnel on equipment care, operation, and processes.
• Provide Process Engineering support on equipment by monitoring indicators, troubleshooting, and providing feedback, including relevant data, observations, actions taken, and results achieved.

Required Qualifications

• 2-year Degree/Diploma in Robotics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a relevant Electro-Mechanical field.
• Demonstrated ability to apply theories and principles in the following disciplines:
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Hydraulics/Pneumatics
  • AC/DC wiring – electrical theory
  • Electronics
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Statistical Process Control

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
