Job Details
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic molding presses
- Set up molds, run first-piece samples, and ensure proper tooling configuration
- Disassemble molds, repair components, and exchange inserts
- Monitor equipment performance and complete repairs for continuous improvement
- Inspect and maintain steam generator, water tower system, air compressors, and pre-formers
- Complete monthly safety checklists and maintain organized maintenance areas
- Inspect and maintain forklifts; maintain detailed repair records
- Maintain inventory of tools and critical spare parts
- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs quickly
- Assist with installation and modification of new equipment
Qualifications — Needed
Education / Licenses
- No specific degree required; forklift certification or ability to obtain one
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues (or ability to learn)
- Experience with mold troubleshooting, molding machines, or tooling set-up (or ability to learn)
Technical Background Needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on presses, compressors, generators, and water systems
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs and work from elevated heights
Other Requirements
- Proven ability to work independently
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to maintain detailed records and organized work areas
