Pay Rate: $24-$30/hour DOE 

Position Summary

With minimum guidance in a team environment, you'll be responsible for performing a variety of complex maintenance and repair tasks, specifically focusing on production equipment and diagnosing and repairing conventional and CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, or relocate CNC machines; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation.
• Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance on hydraulic equipment, CNC machine tools, building plumbing, and related equipment.
• Construct, install, maintain, repair, and overhaul test stands, fixtures, and related hydraulic equipment.
• Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.
• Perform high-pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
• Plan, layout, and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes, and other carpentry.
• Assist in planning the sequence of operations and methods for overhaul and repair.
• Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.
• Identify and repair CNC machine malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and mechanical operations for proper operation.
• Use precision test equipment.
• Work with computers and software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.
• As a specialized hazardous material technician, coordinate inventory and pickup of hazardous materials and maintain accurate records.
• Advise and assist in the clean-up of chemical spills and ensure compliance with hazardous materials practices.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

• Five years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace-associated equipment, is a plus.
• Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
• Possess required tools.
• Ability to setup and operate hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of national, state, and local electrical codes.
• Knowledge of general hydraulics technology.
• Knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.
• Working knowledge of computers and software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets.
• Hazardous Material Handling Certificate may be required.
• Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift operator certification may be required.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a participative team player.
