Company/Location Overview:

The Maintenance Team Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for guiding a small team of skilled mechanics and electricians to ensure the reliable operation, repair, and upkeep of assigned production equipment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe workplace, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

The Maintenance Team Lead proactively identifies equipment issues, communicates priorities, and partners closely with Maintenance Technicians, the Maintenance Supervisor, and the Maintenance Manager to deliver world-class operational performance.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

What Will You Be Doing?

 

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture and working toward zero recordable incidents

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

  • Report and investigate safety concerns, near misses, and incidents

  • Participate in safety inspections and audits

Maintenance & Operations

  • Lead preventative and reactive maintenance activities to support production demands

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems

  • Anticipate equipment issues and communicate risks and priorities clearly

  • Own and follow standard operating procedures for assigned equipment and areas

  • Support defect-free production through reliable equipment performance

Team Leadership

  • Guide and support maintenance technicians through daily priorities

  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and strong communication

  • Help develop team members’ skills through coaching and feedback

  • Model professionalism, fairness, and integrity

Continuous Improvement

  • Actively identify and implement process improvements

  • Support KPI performance and operational excellence initiatives

  • Participate in performance development and career growth discussions

Qualifications/Requirements:

What Are We Looking For?

 

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement

  • Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance

Preferred

  • Previous leadership or lead experience in maintenance

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated interest in ongoing skill development and career growth

Physical Requirements

  • Operate industrial equipment safely

  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

  • Perform work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders and working on feet for extended periods
