Job Details
Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring all production equipment, utilities, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. This leader will coordinate preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives that drive uptime and production reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians across mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment including extrusion lines, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Support production by quickly resolving mechanical and electrical issues that impact operations
- Manage maintenance scheduling, work orders, and spare parts inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance best practices
- Partner with production leadership to improve machine performance and reduce downtime
- Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements
- Train and develop maintenance staff to strengthen technical capability across the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, plastics, packaging, or industrial processing
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms
- Ability to lead in a hands-on, team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
