Our client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, leads a team of maintenance technicians, and supports production goals through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and coordinating maintenance activities across departments.

Requirements:

Maintenance Operations & Leadership

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and rapid response to equipment breakdowns.
  • Schedule, assign, and monitor preventive maintenance for production machinery, support equipment, and facility systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10–20 maintenance technicians, promoting skill growth and teamwork.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Equipment Reliability & Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.
  • Review and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation to plan and execute maintenance tasks.
  • Identify equipment irregularities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Project & Resource Management

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and support procurement needs.
  • Coordinate small‑scale maintenance projects aimed at improving equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Track maintenance KPIs such as downtime, PM completion rates, and repair response times.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Escalate critical issues and support root‑cause analysis when needed.
  • Partner with production, quality, and safety teams to align maintenance activities with operational priorities.
  • Communicate expectations, updates, and performance goals to maintenance staff and leadership.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong communication and coaching abilities.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email)
  • 3–6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, technical training or an associate degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems.
  • Understanding safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, food manufacturing standards)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 25+ lbs.
  • Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, squat, and work in tight spaces.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
