Maintenance Supervisor / Manager – Manufacturing | Hands-On Leadership | Multi-Trade Required
We are hiring a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor / Manager to lead a skilled team of maintenance technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, reduces downtime, and supports production with effective leadership and hands-on troubleshooting. Ideal candidates are experienced lead technicians ready to step into supervision or seasoned maintenance leaders who thrive on the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–12 maintenance technicians
- Plan, prioritize, and execute daily maintenance and repair work
- Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance programs are completed
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems (motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors) to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and CMMS documentation
- Partner with production leadership to meet daily output and operational goals
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability
- Support facility maintenance, parts inventory, and vendor coordination
- Enforce safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- 2+ years supervising or leading maintenance technicians
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills across motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and multi-trade systems
- Experience in manufacturing/production environments
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with preventative/predictive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Multi-trade skills: electrical, HVAC, compressors, welding, valves
- Hands-on leadership in small-to-medium manufacturing or food plants (10–150 employees)
- Proven track record of reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
