Job Title: Maintenance Field Supervisor
FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT
Salary: $49,000-$58,676
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED;
Post secondary educational experience preferred.
A valid New Mexico drivers license appropriate for operating vehicles of the size required for this position.
Ability to supervise staff and maintain positive atmosphere.
Successful experience in maintenance services.
Knowledge of:
Operations, services and activities of a preventive maintenance program.
Methods and techniques of maintaining and repairing floors, furniture, walls and fixtures.
Operational characteristics of maintenance equipment and materials.
Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
Health and safety regulations.
Skills/Aptitudes:
Good organizational ability; good written and oral communication skills; ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding students, staff, parents, and school matters.
Essential Job Responsibilities of Maintenance Field Supervisor:

- Assigns maintenance staff projects in the most efficient manner to all facilities and work shifts.
- Supervises maintenance workers and assign maintenance projects.
- Establishes maintenance standards for all maintenance workers to meet.
- Inspects work by all staff members on a regular basis, and provides written copies of the inspections to staff involved.
- Provides supervision and guidance to staff.
- Recommends a comprehensive training program.
- Provides documentation and reports as appropriate.
- Collaborates with building principals to determine building maintenance needs.
- Recommends products to be purchased and stocked.
- Prepares specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Manual physical labor, lifting, and moving materials, furniture, equipment and supplies.
- Maintains equipment, tools and shop area in operable, safe, and organized status.
- Accounts for supplies, materials and equipment as required.
- Completes records and reports as required in a timely manner, meeting deadlines.
- Responds to calls during off duty hours when staff need help or vandalism reports.
- Perform assignments in such a manner so as not to interrupt the classroom learning environment.
- Work in a safe manner with personal safety and the safety of others as the number one priority.
- Communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
- Plan and execute work efficiently within the “work order” system.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
- Repair of some components by welding.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
