Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superviser to join our team and lead daily operations at our apartment communities. This role is vital in maintaining the property's physical integrity and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, Manage, and be accountable for the work product of your team
  • Keep your team energized, motivated and skilled
  • Collaborate with Community Manager and Regional Community Manager on setting property goals and the process on how to reach those goals
  • Ensure the smooth running of upkeep and/or repair of operations
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Hire and supervise vendors during installations, repairs or maintenance
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc)
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance in conjunction with Community Manager and Regional Community Manager
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
  • Participate in coordination of projects (i.e., renovations)
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Other projects and additional duties, as needed or assigned

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of multi-family maintenance experience
  • EPA Certification required
  • Proven ability to operate within technology operating systems - property management systems, electronic mail, timekeeping platforms, expense reporting, etc., and ability to learn new technology, when necessary.
  • Proven experience of excellent planning and leadership of a team of professionals that inspired growth
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • Proven experience of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Ability to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and maintain effective internal controls, including certification in Fair Housing Laws
  • Work as a team player in evaluating and resolving discrepancies, as needed
  • Possess and model our core values daily
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation to travel between sites, and proof of valid vehicle insurance
